Morning Sam, I’ve watchedsubscribed to your channel from day one. United are my obsession, and I watched my first game from the Stretford end in 1963, so as you can imagine, I’ve more or less seen it all. But you have lifted my viewing pleasure to another level. I’ve always enjoyed your delivery, and down to earth, unpretentious commentary, but , just lately, your posts, and, in particular, posts like the one here, are truly off the scale in professionalism and content. I’m sure I’m not alone in thanking you for what you do, and hope you continue for years to come. I can no longer get to games unfortunately, but your channel is the next best thing. Kind regards and thanks. Bri.
This is one of our most ambitious artigos yet and I hope you enjoyed it. Can we reach 10,000 likes? Ambitious but so is our vision for artigos! A new 100,000 stadium? It's an exciting prospect.
Absolutely incredible artigo! Very very well done and the amount of extra effort and time is so worth it. Brilliant!
Jackanory jackanory ha ha
Allianz arena is the best stadium
Very very good. As a fully qualified now retired Architectural Technologist I think this is the best assessmentoverview of the Old Trafford question that I have seen. As far as the price of all this goes, well it's like this… As soon as you hear 'estimates' quoted in round £billions, that translates to no-one, not even Jim Ratcliffe, knows. £1B is a very big number sadly these days it gets banded around and quoted almost like loose change. Just ridiculous. The cost of the new stadium alone (because that is what will be built) will no doubt push the £1,000,000,000 barrier and probably through it but as for the whole development, as described in this artigo, in this post-industrial area, the hidden costs alone (literally – dealing with unexpected 'surprises' hidden below ground level) could run into many hundreds of thousands of pounds the contingency sums will therefore necessarily need to be robust to say the least. As for the total? That will be hard to pin down after completion of the development, never mind now years before a spade has made its first cut.We sometimes have to be content with not knowing and taking risks!
I don’t think OT was ever the envy of the world.
Real Madrid is the most famous team not united
This is amazing, I really hope they do build it!!
Class artigo Sam, keep up the great work. Loving the direction your going in with this type of artigo 👍
Just go ahead, ManUtd fans is the largest in the world…
Meanwhile City virtually had a stadium gifted to them.
So we'll have man u and Everton with big championship stadiums very soon
Haven't finished the artigo, but ill tell you this… its absolutely fantastic, the editing and narration is amazing… quality, top shelf 👌
Im pretty sure sam insiders at united will be watching well researched content like this to gage perception
Past Glories would be a good name for a new stadium.
Seems like a pointless waste of money just to watch a load of millionaires kicking a ball around a field.
The Buffalo Bills have private owners, and they get 50% of their new Stadium funded by the Tax Payers.. they're ain't dumping 50% of their profits on the New York State Taxpayers😂😂😂
I'd sort the team out first and i'm a Wolves fan 🤪
It’ll be triple the price and double the time.
How is Man U more famous than Real Madrid? Arguably Liverpool and Barcelona are as famous, and we can probably Bayern, A.C. and one or two others to that list. Very nice artigo otherwise.
So tradition is flushed down the toilet for one more fancy american style stadium. Football becomes part of a disney like family experiance. Glad that my club 1860 Munich is not going in that direction.
The real kicker, actually the only real question is : to renovate or go brand new. Renovation will cost and last exponatially more than brand new. But at the end of it you get to keep the history of the club and the meaning of this is united takes on another dimension. Both projects will have an enormius impact on logistics. Come match day, construction stops, and since they are playing something lile 70 matches a year.. well that means renovation will take a bloody long time. The construction specialist in me screams: brand new. The fan in me pleads to keep the grounds, I'd be heart broken if we have to leave. I think in the end the overall idea of the next hundred years of man u will prevail, and the club will go for a new stadium. Or we find a pitch close enough to play on while we renovate the grounds…
More shops.. bars.. food stands.. and to be honest, why not go 106,000? Make it the biggest in Europe!
New stadium? .. wow! United really will be Everton MK2
Amazing artigo! Looking forward to our great future of United!!!
Plant two goals on the cricket pitch and play there while we rebuild old trafford😂
I Brazilian. All I can say is that many people around the world is waiting to see United go back to the top. United used to be, along Real Madrid, the club with most supporters around the world. A club everyone knew it had plenty of history, a winner mentality, a crazy and passionate crowd, a wonderful historical stadium, and it was treated as a franchise. But that quickly changed, United stopped winning titles, stopped having a winner mentality and became a laughing stock with it’s moments, and it’s brand, stadium and etc broke down while other clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham and City rose up. And people didn’t even want to like these teams, but they had the money. However, for new kids, it’s all they know, their idols are in City, Chelsea, Madrid… It’s crazy. We need to see Manchester showing up, standing where it SHOULD be. It needs to take the risk. It’s unfortunate oil money changed things this much, but United need to fight back.
This presentation is poor. Clearly the presenter knows NOTHING about Regeneration !

Ralf and CR7 said it 🤷 heart surgery!
Well done Sam you did a great artigo with all those details and information about Old Trafford you are the best man united siter ever 👏👏👏
Save Old Trafford Renevate stadium 🏟
Just whip out the black card and amex.. refurb old trafford and build a northern wembley, if possible, all within the united district. Keeping tradition, bringing global games and more tourismattraction to the north. Unachieveable? Cant put a price on the largest and most popular sporting team in the worldEdit: would a ‘northern wembley’ then be applicable for public and local funding as a bigger incentive involving the local and national government?
MU are not the most famous football club in the world, Real Madrid and Barcelona are ahead in this regard. People deep in villages in third world countries are rooting for RM anf Barca, and fans there fight over a classico game.
Did I miss when the Glazers sold Man United? Or have they loosened their grip on controlling everything when it came to the team?
MUFC & EFC will have the best teams and stadiums in the Championship next season, Going down.
Sir Norman foster is the most renowned architect of our age. His body of work is just incredible. He is most definitely the right man for the job.
If only get it done
Bernabow?
it mentioned hotels well from what ive seen gary nev is trying to get on board with this united project
Well done Sam and the team. Absolutely fantastic artigo, really informative and inspiring. ❤❤❤
can they build it just ask bob the builder
Worth the wait, fantastic deep dive.
As long as Harry maguire is in the starting eleven, you can just keep on dreaming!! 😂😂😂😂
It's really f***d up to see the government spending so much money on stadiums when there are so many people struggling with poverty. It's like, why are billions going to football stadiums instead of helping those in need? America and prioritise…
Hmm…Really love to see this happening. And I think SJR may included Manchester f1 Racing track around the project… 🤔
I thought they were skint and in massive debt 😢😢
Whats hurtful about all of this as a arsenal fan is that we went into a era of financial handicap cause of a stadium that isn't even one of the best in the world
I hope they don`t get `hamstrung` by incorporating something of the past in the design. Look to the future & be brave but above all build it well with decent materials that can stand the test of time. The two Spanish stadiums would be my blue-print in size with some of the amenities on offer in LA to make it a go-to for people not so interested in football.
